Current Openings

TVCB currently has vacancies for alto saxophone, B-flat clarinet and percussion.

We open TVCB during to summer members starting in June 2018 when we start rehearsals in Cook Park, Tigard, OR.

The Tualatin Valley Community Band (TVCB) is a 501(c)(3) corporation that brings free live music to the greater Tigard metro area. TVCB is open to all ages and individuals.

Our band has three goals.

  1. Provide high quality live public music performances for civic and educational functions.
  2. Provide an opportunity for musicians of all ages and backgrounds to perform live music.
  3. Foster music education by providing individual scholarships and donations to music education programs.

Members are required to play in tune and enjoy performing live music.


Special Note

The "Polished Brass," a brass ensemble with TVCB members, is looking for a trumpet player. They play a variety of fun stuff—jazz, classical, pop, show tunes, Beatles, Whitney Houston, Handel,... They meet every other week on Monday nights for two hours in Lake Oswego near I-5. They play five or six concerts a year—three in the summer and three in the Christmas season.
